Why training courses are important

Safety and operational reliability are high priorities for every organisation. Well-trained personnel ensure safe working practices in and around electrical installations. Our range includes legally required training, as well as courses that address specific themes. Besides our fixed range of courses, we offer tailor-made courses and on request.

BA4 - Electrical safety (legal requirements,for non-electricians)

What?

Develop insight into the basic electrical concepts, a summary of regulations, legislation and standards relating to electrical installations, an introduction to electrical circuits and the most common safety guidelines.

For whom ?

Workers who have no knowledge of electricity, but who perform tasks in the vicinity of electrical installations (cleaning staff, caretakers, syndics, machine operators, etc.).

BA4 - Electrical safety (legal requirements)

What?

Summary of the regulations, legislation and standards relating to electrical installations, plus the most common safety guidelines that need to be complied with.

For whom ?

Workers who have no knowledge of electricity, but who perform tasks in the vicinity of electrical installations.

BA5 - Electrical safety (legal requirements)

What?

Learn how you can make circuits on electrical installations and familiarise yourself with their use and exploitation in order to better supervise activities on these installations.

For whom ?

Personnel responsible for using electrical installation or for the supervision of those who do work with it.

Duration

2 days with a minimum of 50% practical exercises.

High-voltage circuits

What?

Learn to safely and responsibly set high-voltage circuits.

For whom ?

You have an internal high-voltage network with multiple cabinets on your site. Those responsible for connections or technicians tasked with building circuits on high-voltage installations.

2 days with a minimum of 40% practical exercises

High-voltage circuits
(refresher course)

What?

A refresher course in which all aspects relating to high voltage and circuits are revised so that existing knowledge stays sharp.

For whom ?

Staff who have already followed BA5 training or a course on high-voltage circuits.

Duration

1 day with a minimum of 50% practical exercises.

Tailor-made training courses and on request

Bonus and benefits

Formelec asbl pays employers covered by the SCP 149.01 joint subcommittee (NSSO prefix 067 or 467) a premium for each worker who takes a training course that is not specific to the company with Formelec certification (training course of at least 3 hours, between 7am and 5pm, …).

The amount of the bonus per worker is a maximum of €15.5 per hour and it is deducted from the company’s premium credit in accordance with Formelec’s criteria.

Our training centre is recognised by ffc Constructiv, Fonds de Formation professionnelle de la Construction (professional construction training fund). Financial incentives also apply for workers in the construction segment (Joint Committee 124) when they take training courses.
